With 55 rooms in the Meierhof and 12 suites in the historic palace, Schloss Leopoldskron is an exclusive and discreet hideaway just minutes from the Old Town of Salzburg.
Built in 1736 and surrounded by 17 acres of manicured grounds, Schloss Leopoldskron is next to a small, idyllic lake and features majestic views of the mountains and the Hohensalzburg Fortress.
Schloss Leopoldskron is also home to Salzburg Global, an international non-profit organization dedicated to convening open-minded leaders to overcome barriers and open a world of better possibilities.
Upcoming Meierhof Renovation
We're pleased to announce that we are moving forward with plans to renovate the Meierhof building in January 2026.
The focus of this project will be on installing air conditioning in Fellows Hall and all 55 Meierhof guest rooms, which, together with the hallways, will receive a facelift.
This important project has been in the making for some time and will enhance the Meierhof's functionality, accessibility, and overall guest experience, while maintaining its historic character.
Construction is scheduled to begin on 7 January 2026, and the first rooms will be available in their new look from 9 March. Completion of all rooms is planned for 16 March 2026.
During this time, the Meierhof will be entirely closed to guests.
Our Reception will temporarily move to the Schloss. Suites, state rooms, and seminar rooms in the Schloss are unaffected by the renovation work and remain available to book.
Nevertheless, a project of this magnitude will bring change to our environment. While we are committed to keeping disruptions to a minimum, we do expect loud construction work throughout January and likely into February.
We thank you for your patience and understanding, and hope you'll join us in looking forward to the next stage of the Meierhof's transformation.
Our Seminar Rooms
The three Seminar Rooms on the second floor of the Schloss underwent soft renovations in early 2023. They now include state-of-the-art technology, including an 85-inch TV screen, and modern furniture.
Each Seminar Room features ample natural daylight and an elegant atmosphere and can fit up to 40 people. The rooms are suitable for working groups and offer a variety of flexible seating options, allowing for many different meeting purposes.
To inquire about hosting your event in our Seminar Rooms or any of Schloss Leopoldskron’s meeting spaces, please email our Events Team.

With songs they have sung for a thousand years.
The hills fill my heart with the sound of music.
My heart wants to sing every song it hears.”
